Re: Inaugural Post
Welcome!
I love your profile picture. I hope it's not offensive when I say this (if it were drawn by you or someone close), but it makes me think of those bad taxidermies where the animal has an odd pose/expression.
I considered making a section on here for introductions, but I've found that a lot of times those sections don't get a lot of attention. Is it something you think I should add? (I've got no problem with intro threads being posted in this section... kinda feels like the best option to me, but am open to suggestions).
Also curious, have you ever met a real wolf? There's a wolf sanctuary not far from where I live, and it's a pretty unique experience if you ever get the chance.

Re: Inaugural Post
Never met a real live one face to face though I definitely have heard them in the distance. NY state has a wide variety and they do sometimes come into NYC (though mostly that's Coywolves and Coydogs.) I've seen Brown Bears though and once while orienting some survival camp counselors we ran across a 10' long black snake on the trail. He was just sunning himself but some of my fellow counselors got a bit excited. I was like "that means you won't see any copperheads nearby" (because black snakes eat them)
As for that wolf art, it is old and from a much larger piece. I just found it convenient as an avatar and I couldn't find a local file version of my Steam avatar. *shrugs* laziness mostly kept me from making a better one :d
Yeah I think introductions are a good idea for those who might need to break the ice a bit. I, for example, wanted to say something but not put a post somewhere inappropriate so I figured a tavern style offtopic post would work.

can use printscreen button while looking at your steam profile page to copy the avatar & screen to clipboard then create a new bitmap image on the desktop and edit it in mspaint to crop out the rest of the profile from the image
not the most convenient thing however this lets you rip basically any image you can put on your screen into jpg file format
thought this might be useful if you are trying to re-use your avatar and don't have a backup file of it already

Sure but imho that's worse than just using a file I have on my computer. And tbh I like showing off my amateur art "skillz"
Also windows snip function is probably a more accurate method for clipping pieces of a screen than using alt-printscreen etc.

Post moved to new "Social Corner" section.
Sorry if my earlier comment on your art came off as offensive, it wasn't meant to be. That said, I love art, and now I really wanna see the full piece! Don't be afraid to post some of your work in the Art forum... that's why it's there
