Link to article explaining new mechanics: EoE Mechanics

Spacecrafts/Station - New vehicle-like mechanic
Planet - Lands that gain charges to unlock abilities
Warp - Alternative casting cost
Void - additional cost effects
Lander Tokens - Basic land search token


I feel like this is going to be a set that's not all that exciting in Limited, but is going to be a big gamechanger in most constructed formats. Personally I'm looking forwards to trying to make a vehicles deck that's actually viable, and am also definitely gonna have fun with some artifact token spam decks.

Thoughts on the new mechanics? Anything you're excited to try out? Anything you're dreading having to face?

Dreading syntheizer decks that were already almost tier 1. I expect them to dominate with the variety of things they can pull to do cheap wins.

Landfall will also be bonused quite a bit. Whether it hits the upper tiers remains to be seen as we get the new Sunfall which may keep creature decks a bit lower down the rung than many hope for. It doesn't provide a token for finishing the job but that's fine with the manlands coming back and plenty of other ways to recover from a mostly one sided sweep.

Also not really looking forward to the artifacts emphasis in itself. A lot of the cards in the set seem either broken or very underwhelming. Limited (mainly quick draft where drafting sequences often don't make good sense) promises to be a nightmare. But having had no experience with it yet I guess we have to wait a few weeks and find out.

I do like the artwork overall though some choices seem very odd indeed.
