If it's MTG related but doesn't fit anywhere else, jam it in here.

MTG tools/rescources

Post by Kurt »

This post will maintain a list of any useful tools or resources available for Magic: The Gathering.
Tools/programs directly related to a specific platform (Arena, MTGO, etc) should be posted in their corresponding forum section, not here.

DraftSim Draft Simulator (Free)
Link: DraftSim.com
Allows you to practice the drafting of any set, for free. While you can't actually play the deck you put together, this is an immensely helpful tool for learning a new set and creating draft strategies.

The Rules
Link: Magic: The Gathering Comprehensive Rules
When in doubt, there is never any better place to check than the rules themselves.Too often overlooked by many players, new and old alike, it's high-time we all start reading the rules.

MTG: Arena
Link: MTG Arena
Is it the best way to play Magic? No. That said, Arena is probably the best resource available to any new player who's looking to learn the game. Be aware, however, that Arena does take care of some of the more menial parts of the game without telling you, so when you go to play in paper just expect that you'll have to do more calculating/reading than you will in Arena.

YouTube
Here are some helpful YouTube channels to check out:
The Command Zone (Commander/EDH)
Tolarian Community College (Misc)
